Lynnette S. Hynden
Human Resources Executive
Lynnette S. Hynden is a seasoned grass roots community builder, with a diverse background in Human Services leadership and Human Resources management. Lynnette’s previous board engagements were with United Way of King County— New Impact Council and Community in Schools for the Federal Way Public Schools. She also was asked to participate on the Interagency Council for Homelessness in Seattle-King County.
As a seasoned leader, she brings over 15-years of transformative leadership and strategic expertise to the table with a strong track record of driving organizational performance and fiscal savings. She used her doctorate dissertation to examine and operationalized the Neighborhood Stabilization Program (NSP), a federal program aimed at revitalizing neighborhoods, making housing affordable to low-income families. Lynnette also had a vision to build a non-profit co-operative that unified non-profits in South King County. Rather than being siloed, the co-operative would provide the opportunity for the non-profits to work together and bundle resources so that the collaborative engagement outcome provided an opportunity to leverage smaller organizations increase their funding levels needed to operate. City Vision was built, and it continues to be a wonderful resource for the city. Lynnette has been a grantor and grantee for community service organization.
Lynnette has a Doctor of Business Administration from Argosy University and a master’s in organizational behavior plus a bachelor’s in legal studies from Pacific Lutheran University. She lives in Maple Valley, Washington with her husband, Brian. They have two children, Olivia and Gunnar. Olivia is in Nashville, TN while Gunnar plays lacrosse for University of Arizona in Tucson. Because the kids are out of the house, enjoying their educational pursuits, it left Lynnette and Brian time to travel. In 2023, the empty nesters traveled to India, Africa, Mexico, Germany, Austria, and Budapest. They also took a couple of trips to Tennessee and Arizona.
