Eric Hagenimana
Country Manager - Rwanda Program
Eric is an experienced professional who serves as the Country Manager of the Rwanda program. With over seven years of experience, Eric has dedicated his career to enhancing farmers' livelihoods through various projects and collaborations with NGOs.
His extensive background includes serving as a District Coordinator at Sustainable Growers Rwanda, a local NGO generously supported by Bloomberg Philanthropies. Before that, Eric contributed his expertise as a Training Facilitator at World Vision Rwanda, a Project Field Officer at the Integrated Project for Ecosystem Rehabilitation and Green Village Promotion Project (IPERGP) funded by the National Fund for Climate Change, and as a District Forest Extension Officer at the Participatory Forest Management project, funded by the Government of the Netherlands.
Eric's journey with Africa Development Promise began as a Cooperative Development Officer, where his dedication and impactful contributions quickly earned him a well-deserved promotion to the role of Country Manager, effective January 2024.
In addition to his extensive practical experience, Eric has a Master of Business Administration degree from Mount Kenya University- Rwanda, specializing in the coffee value chain and women's cooperative performance. He also holds a Bachelor's degree in Agriculture Sciences from the University of Rwanda – College of Agriculture, Animal Sciences, and Veterinary Medicine (UR-CAVM).
